The City of Clarkston Police Department provides a variety of administrative and public safety services to residents, businesses, and members of the community. Below is a description of these services.

Police Reports -$5.00

Police reports provide official documentation of incidents investigated or handled by the Police Department. Residents, victims, insurance companies, and other authorized parties may request copies of eligible reports. Reports may include information such as the date and location of an incident, the nature of the complaint, involved parties, and the actions taken by responding officers. Certain information may be restricted or redacted in accordance with applicable law.

Background Checks - $20.00

The Police Department provides background check services for individuals who need official verification of criminal or law-enforcement-related information, when permitted by law. Background checks may be requested for employment, housing, licensing, volunteer opportunities, or other authorized purposes. Identification and applicable forms or fees may be required.

Records Restrictions - $25.00

Records restrictions involve limiting public access to certain law-enforcement records when authorized under applicable state law. Individuals who believe a police record may qualify for restriction can request information about the applicable process, eligibility requirements, and required documentation. Restrictions do not necessarily mean that a record is erased or destroyed; they generally affect how and by whom the record may be accessed.

Alcohol Permits - $85.00

The Police Department assists with the application and review process for businesses and organizations seeking authorization to sell or serve alcoholic beverages within the city. The permitting process may include reviewing applications, conducting required background checks, verifying compliance with city regulations, and coordinating inspections or other public safety reviews. Applicants are responsible for submitting all required documentation and meeting applicable city and state requirements before an alcohol permit can be issued.

Adult Entertainment Permits - $320.00

The Police Department assists with the permitting and regulatory process for businesses seeking to operate an adult entertainment establishment within the city. The process may include reviewing applications, conducting required background checks, verifying compliance with applicable city regulations, and coordinating inspections or other public safety requirements. Applicants must meet all applicable licensing, zoning, operational, and public safety requirements before an adult entertainment permit may be issued.
