Profession: Vice Mayor Johnson is a proud graduate of Albany State University, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). She is a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) with over 19 years of experience in inpatient medical coding for local hospitals and healthcare organizations. Her professional career reflects a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and integrity within the health information management field, and she is an active member of American Health Information Management Association.

Goals for Clarkston: 

  • Strengthen community partnerships that address food insecurity, with a passion to maintain and expand Clarkston’s food distribution program, originally spearheaded by Vice Mayor Johnson. 
  • Enhance mental health and domestic violence support systems. 
  • Promote civic engagement, transparency, and inclusivity in local governance. 
  • Continue building a safe, supportive, and resourceful community for all residents.

Community Involvements & Organizations: Vice Mayor Johnson serves on the Board of Directors for the DeKalb YMCA, where she supports initiatives that promote family wellness, youth development, and community engagement. She is also deeply involved in local food distribution efforts and refugee assistance throughout Clarkston.
