City of Clarkston Downtown Development Authority to Host Inaugural Open House
CLARKSTON, GA (June 6, 2025) – The City of Clarkston’s Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will host its inaugural Open House on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held at Clarkston City Hall, 3921 Church Street, Clarkston, GA 30021.
This first-of-its-kind gathering invites residents, business owners, property owners, potential investors, community partners, and friends of the City of Clarkston to learn more about the vision, purpose, and future of the DDA. As the first in a series of engagements, the Open House is designed to stimulate community involvement and build momentum around downtown revitalization efforts.
“The goal of this event is to lay the groundwork for a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative approach to economic development within Clarkston’s designated downtown district,” said Dr. Johnny Garcia, Chairman of the Clarkston DDA. “Kicking off the DDA with caring intention to build community engagement and support will ensure that the DDA is well established and on the road to leading successful development of the City of Clarkston's designated downtown district. This will lead to significant economic growth, benefiting the community and all of its residents.”
The DDA Open House will include a brief presentation, opportunities for networking, and space for community dialogue. Attendees will learn how the DDA plans to attract investment, support local businesses, and enhance the economic vitality of downtown Clarkston.
This is the first of many DDA-hosted events aimed at creating an open channel of communication between stakeholders and the city as Clarkston continues to grow and evolve.
