About the Streetscape and Pedestrian Enhancement Project

The City of Clarkston received Federal Highway Administration funding and a State Road & Tollway Authority loan to embark on a streetscape enhancement and pedestrian improvement project. AMEC was selected in 2014 to work with the city to develop engineering and construction plans for various streetscape improvements along 1.5 miles of roadway. The targeted corridors, which includes various segments of East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Market Street, Rowland Avenue and Norman Road, will link to neighborhoods and the downtown district while establishing an Interstate Highway gateway to the City.
