City of Clarkston Invites the Public to Celebrate Georgia Cities Week
  
The City of Clarkston announces their celebration of “Georgia Cities Week. This year’s theme is “Georgia Cities: Lighting the Way”. Cities across Georgia will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week,” sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many services they provide. City of Clarkston officials announced that the City will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week April 23-29, 2023. 


 Here are the events planned to celebrate Georgia Cities Week:

April 25, Tuesday

  • City Council Proclamation of Georgia Cities Week  When: 7 PM; Where: Hybrid, City (visit www.clarkstonga.gov for city council meeting location).

April 26, Wednesday

  • A Community Conversation: A Roundtable Discussion with the Mayor; When: 6 PM; Where: Clarkston Community Center

April 27, Thursday

  • Unveiling of City's 1st Crosswalk Mural; When: 10 AM; Where: Downtown Market St. 

April 28, Friday

  • The City Visit a School Day; When: 1:30 PM; Where: Indian Creek Elementary School
  • Music in the Park; When: 6 PM-7:30PM; Where: Milam Park (FREE TO THE PUBLIC) *Bring Chairs, Blankets, Picnics, and Snacks. Snow Cone Truck will be present. 

April 29. Saturday

Community Volunteer Waterway Cleanup: Rivers Alive;  When: 9 AM Where: Friendship Forest Wildlife Sanctuary
