The City of Clarkston is proud to announce that City Manager ChaQuias Miller-Thornton has been reappointed to the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Federal Policy Council for the 2026–27 term.
This marks her continued service on the GMA Federal Policy Council, where she joins municipal leaders from across Georgia in monitoring and advocating for federal legislative and regulatory issues that impact cities and communities throughout the state.
As a member of this leadership and advisory body, Miller-Thornton will play an active role in GMA’s federal advocacy efforts, helping advance policies that support strong, resilient municipalities and ensuring that the priorities of Georgia’s cities are represented at the federal level.
Her reappointment reflects her continued commitment to public service, municipal leadership, and advocacy on behalf of the City of Clarkston. Through her ongoing service, Clarkston’s voice will remain represented in important conversations with federal lawmakers and on matters before Congress.
