SMALL BUSINESS MATCHING FAÇADE GRANT PROGRAM
The City of Clarkston Small Business Façade Marching Grant Program is structured as a rebate program where business and property owners receive reimbursement for up to 50% of the cost of the project in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 for completed work, not to exceed $20,000. Commercial and local business owners willing to renovate and/or improve the street front exteriors of their structures, exterior painting, signage, structure stabilization, awnings, canopies, exterior walls, gutters, downspouts, exterior doors, window repairs, decorative exterior, architectural features, landscaping, and pavement improvements. The properties must be located within the Clarkston Town Center (TC), Residential Commercial (RC), and Neighborhood Commercial1 (NC-1) and Neighborhood Commercial 2 (NC-2) zoning districts. Reimbursement will only be awarded to projects that are approved by the City of Clarkston prior to work. HOMEOWNER WEATHERIZATION/ENERGY EFFICIENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Clarkston City Council has allocated up to $100,000.00 from its share of the Federal AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) to provide for a WEATHERZATION/ENERGY EFFICIENCY ASSISTANCE program to Clarkston homeowners impacted by the COVID-19 economic crisis. Due to the virus’ continued impact resulting in economic & financial hardships the city will assist residents affected by COVID-19 and/or 60 years and older, disabled and/or caring for multiple school age children with weatherization/energy efficiency projects.
AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM
As many as 1.1 million eligible Georgians still haven’t signed up to receive discounts of up to $30 per month on their internet bills, along with a one-time $100 discount on the purchase of a laptop, tablet or desktop computer through the Affordable Connectivity Program. With school starting back, now is the perfect time to spread the word in your community to help your residents obtain affordable internet to give their children the resources they need to thrive in school.
