The Georgia Cities Foundation created a resource guide for Georgia businesses. Access the guide here. In addition, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has posted a simpler-than-you-thought guide to obtaining Coronavirus Emergency Loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration per the recently passed CARES Act. This guide includes a list to help determine eligibility, a formula to help calculate the size loan for which a business could qualify, a list of participating banks and more.

Gov. Kemp, University of Georgia's SBDC Provide Overview of CARES Act Funding

The CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion stimulus package, and SBA programs are designed to lead the way in small business recovery. Yesterday, Governor Kemp announced the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and the Small Business Development Centers are partnering to make sure that every small business in Georgia is aware of these programs. SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Georgia Small Businesses Economically Impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

 

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has designated all counties in Georgia eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Georgia small businesses impacted by COVID-19 are now eligible to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL).

 

Application Deadline is December 18, 2020.
