CDF Action and the Clarkston Community Center would like to invite you to the 11th Annual Clarkston "Tell Me a Story!" Festival, taking place on Saturday, November 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clarkston Community Center, 3701 College Avenue, Clarkston, GA 30021.
Join us for an amazing day filled with storytelling and cultural celebration! This year, we’re excited to feature the Congolese Dancers, with emcees Chetter Galloway and Gwendolyn Napier of Kuumba Storytellers of Atlanta leading the festivities. Experience the vibrant Youth Around the World parade alongside a lineup of new and returning storytellers.
The festival supports equity in early childhood education by providing free books, resources, and access to literacy partnerships. We’ll share valuable information about early learning and childhood education programs, as well as language guides in over 10 languages to assist refugee and immigrant families in meeting their educational needs. Our children’s storytelling programs and activities empower young minds to explore and cultivate a love for reading, fostering essential skills for success in an ever-changing world.
Thanks to our wonderful partners, the Festival will also feature engaging activities like childcare resources, voter information, an infant and toddler corner, and delicious international food prepared by our Chef’s Club. Plus, don’t miss out on the free henna art!
