Notes on how to write a business pitch and what to include
A successful business pitch should get to the point in the time allotted for the pitch presentation. Your pitch should identify the need that your product or service will meet or the issue that it will solve. Believe in yourself, so that the competition judges will believe in you. Build your confidence by practicing your presentation.
The pitch presentation should showcase your idea and business model and should convey its potential value to generate support. To do so, a business pitch should:
- Define the problem your business aims to solve
- Identify who your customers are
- Describe the business model and make it easy to understand
- Highlight the relevancy of your product or service
- Summarize your business plan
The pitch deck should engage the audience, build anticipation, and deliver a satisfying conclusion. It can leverage supporting resources like charts, models, and graphs to support your business pitch.
